Dreamnight: Encounter with David Carradine

Tonight I was on a concert. The old music band The Sweet was playing, who had their best days in the seventies. While they were on the stage, they were constantly singing the song “Fox on the Run“, which is an allusion to a fox who is on the run.

“Dreamnight” is a series in which I consciously concentrate on experiencing a lucid dream or an out-of-body experience or in which I report an interesting or extraordinary dream or memories of my subconsciousness as well as telepathic connections to other people (dream spying).

Associations with the Old-English fox hunt may be present. Later, I decided to leave this place and when I was at the exit, a man came out of the dark and stood in my way.

He was very lean and had a relatively bony face. His movements seemed a little wooden. He wore an old applied jacket and presumably a pair of jeans. He wanted to talk to me and did not wanted to let me go. I found his presence not unpleasant or irritating, but his general appearance left me a bit suspicious. Nevertheless, this man seemed very familiar to me! I kept wondering where I knew him from… but I just could not get it.

When I awoke, I immediately realized who he was and why I knew him! This man had the same charisma as the blue skeleton (see the dream experience “Pleasant Nightmares”), which reminded me so much of David Carradine, an actor I like to see.

He is known from the series “Kung Fu” and from Tarantino’s movie “Kill Bill” in the role of the profi killer Bill. Well, David Carradine may have grown a few kilos in old age, but he has always been remembered as a gaunt man, with his smooth, thin hair and the striking face.

Now I wonder what it has to mean, that he has appeared in my dream. The question is, who is the fox on the run? Questions about questions, which are not yet answered… So I will await, what will happen in the next time. Often, I find it exciting to simply let go of what’s going to happen, instead of chasing a certain thing, if there are still many other projects that want to be worked on.
